I'm Abby Golfo, a UX designer and researcher focused on social impact. Born to two immigrants from the Philippines and raised outside of New York City, I’ve been dedicated to storytelling from the margins—and for those at the margins—for as long as I can remember.
My passion for storytelling and social justice motivated me to study journalism and sociology in undergrad, in addition to making videos and posters for human rights and activism-focused organizations. I use these skills as a foundation for my UX process. Through design and research, my goal is to positively impact people’s lives by meeting people where they are.
I am a User Experience Designer at M&T Bank in Buffalo, New York. When I’m not designing, I enjoy making videos. I also love to hike, collect stickers, play the ukulele, watch YouTube videos, and learn new things. I have a master’s degree in Digital Media from Georgia Tech and bachelor’s degrees in communication and sociology from SUNY Geneseo. My pronouns are she/her/hers.
